Serene Morning Rituals
Every morning is a fresh start. It’s as clear as day the moment you open your eyes and feel the sunlight peeking through your curtains. If you take the time to feel it, you’ll notice the warmth against your face and the yellow glow reflected on your bedroom wall literally brightening up your day. Breathe and begin your day slowly, gradually working your way up to a faster rhythm.
Stretch. Our pets do this every morning. Notice how our dogs or cats never awake from a slumber without first stretching their limbs? We sometimes forget to do things that are easy and good for us, but our loving pets are there to remind us.
It’s finally spring so open your curtains. Watch the sun rise as you hear the birds chirp. You’ll find yourself smiling and gently meditating on the day ahead.
If you’re up to it, mornings are great time to exercise. Anything from a few yoga poses to a full cardio workout. Mornings are also the perfect time to connect with beauty and nature. Walk around your home and check on your flowers if you planted some, or just breathe in the dewy morning air and watch the birds up close.

Even a shower and morning skincare ritual feel pleasant and sweet when you’re starting a brand new day. Enjoy applying your favourite moisturizer, taking in its smoothness and delightful and fresh scent.
Give yourself one or two hours in the morning to enjoy nature, nurture your body and eat a good breakfast. If there is time left before you need to leave, read a book, write in your journal or do anything else you enjoy. If you can, don’t look at your phone until you’re ready to leave the house; there really may be no need to.
